Jen
Kramer, founder of Focused Consulting in South Newfane, Vt.,
specializes in web site design focused on the clients' needs and
spoken in language they understand. She eliminates techno-babble
and helps her clients reach their goals for their web sites. Her
services include marketing and strategy, maintenance and redesigns
for small to medium corporations, non-profits, and educational institutions.
Jen is also an instructor at the Marlboro College Graduate Center
and the Community College of Vermont, teaching courses in web site
design and management, HTML, and integrating the Internet into business
education. She worked previously as product manager at Omega Optical,
Inc., in Brattleboro and as senior applications scientist at Scanalytics
in Billerica, Mass.
Jen earned a BS in biology at University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill and an MS in Internet Strategy Management at the Marlboro College

content editor Barbara Hall is
founder of Hall House Ink, a freelance writing, editing, and web
content service in Keene, N.H. She specializes in developing the
marketing function of web sites, working with clients to provide
clear, concise copy and comprehensive marketing plans.
She worked for more than 15 years as a writer, publications editor,
and director of the public relations office at Keene State College
and for two years at an agency that specializes in national media
placements for higher education institutions. She is currently teaching
a course in Marketing for the Internet at Keene State College and
writes frequently for the Keene Sentinel newspaper.
Barbara earned a BA in English at Keene State and an MS in Internet
Strategy Management at the Marlboro College Graduate Center. She

Dawn
Barnhart, creative visioneer, has been in the design industry
for more than 12 years, beginning as a print designer at the advent
of the desktop publishing revolution. Since 1997, she has worked
solely on the web, designing simple, user-friendly sites and complex
personalized portals. She teaches web design and advanced web design
at Marlboro College Graduate Center in Brattleboro, Vt., and at
Emerson College in Boston.
Dawn worked previously as creative director at Open Ratings, an
Internet startup in Boston, and as lead art director for Youthstream
Media Networks' premier community site, Sixdegrees, a personalized,
full-service Internet hub for college students. She owned and operated
a design studio in Charleston, S.C., before relocating to Boston.
A graphic design graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design
in Savannah, Ga., she earned an MS in Internet Strategy from Marlboro
